Here is the best way to raise your Capsule Monster levels. Each capsule monster will have a "favorite" item it wants for each level. To find out the favorite item, feed a capsule monster 3 to 4 junk items like the antidote until the item it is hungry for doesn't change any more. Once you know the favorite item, go to a store that has it in stock. When it asks for the favorite item, feed it to the Capsule Monster. When it doesn't want the item, feed it antidotes or something else worthless untill it does ask for its favorite item. This same pattern will happen at all levels up to 4 for a Capsule Monster. The favorite item may change with each new level up, so you will usually need to retest the monster. One of the best places to go for feeding Capsule Monsters is ForeFeit Island. In ForeFeit Island there is a store that has everything you ever sold, and some of the things you fed to Capsule Monsters. Favorite items should always show up even after you feed them to your monsters. When a Capsule Monster reaches level 4, you will need to drop Back down a level and feed it a special fruit to get it to transform to level 5. I hope I got the names right. I easily confuse the type and name of the Capsule Monsters. FOREFEIT ISLAND --------------- See the Capsule Monster topic above for raising Capsule Monster levels while in ForeFeit Island. The casino here is a good place to gain additional items. I would definitely recommend not getting the Statue Items or any of the Bunny weapons. The Sonar Jewel is an item I highly recommend. When you are in a tower/cave the Sonar Jewel will give an initial ping and then a ping for each unopened chest remaining. This is a great way for finding dragon eggs. To purchase the items you will need coins... a special type of coins you can only get and use in the casino. To acquire large amounts of coinage, avoid all games except the slot machine. Try to start out with a decent base of coins, then find the most expensive slot machine you can. If you have the VIP Card from the prince of Aurielo you can reach the best slot machine available. Start on a slot machine then put a heavy object on your control pad so it presses "up" on the directional control. The amount you win will fluctuate, but unlike real slot machines, your average will go up over time. If you leave it running overnight, or for several hours you should end up with quite a few coins. If you don't start with a large enough base amount of coinage, it is possible to go broke. Make sure you save each time before you try this so you can reset if things don't work out. DRAGON EGGS ----------- When you get 8 dragons eggs you can go to a dragon shrine near Pico and trade them in for a valuable item. After you turn the eggs in they will be scattered across the land so you can find them again. You turn in the eggs a maximum of 3 times. 1st set CAVE TO SUNDLETAN NORTHEN DUNGEON NORTH LIGHTHOUSE FLOWER MOUNTAIN DANKIRK NORTH CAVE DIVINE SHRINE BUGS ---- There are several very annoying bugs you should avoid and two major bugs that you have to work through. Avoid using the statues you buy from the casino on Forfeit Island. They can end up erasing all of your saved games and ruin the current game. (this happened to me :() In the Submarine Cave Shrine the bottom level has seriously messed graphics. From where you enter try to go strait up and stay to the center. You may need to feel your way around to get to the Dual Blade. Things will be fine after your meeting at the Dual Blade. In the Ancient Cave the bottom level (99) also have bad graphics. From where you enter try to go strait up and stay to the center. You may need to feel your way around to get to the Ancient Slime. Things should be ok after you beat the slime. If you don't beat the slime, you may need to use the... special item that takes you out of the cave to get out since there are no stairs going up. WALKTHROUGH ----------- This is a rough walkthrough. The walkthrough is mainly to help with the hard points and not necessarily to be step-by-step accurate to the events of the game. Because of this the walkthrough may jump around at points and I may only mention some of the puzzles and things to do for a cave/tower. Note: Sometimes I will mark logical breaks with "[1F]" to let you know what floor a room is on and where another room or puzzle is being described. An asterisk in front of a floor indicator "*[1F]" usually means that the same room will be visited several times over. Monster Training Cave - Meet with old man. Elcid - Dinner with Tia. Found out the key to Sundletan was stolen by monsters. Cave to Sundletan - ITEMS: Antidote, Life Potion, Escape, Power Potion BOSS: Lizard Man - you will need around 6 cures during the fight. In the cave you will meet Iris for the first time. She basically tells you that you are destined to fight. Sundletan - A large catfish is causing earthquakes in Sundletan. You need to go to the Lake Cave to put a stop to the earthquakes. Lake Cave - Hit a switch with an arrow.; Pick up pieces of a bridge.; Arrow Puzzle: hit the left, right, then center to open door -> should find the weapon insect crush past that.; Room with 4 pieces of a bridge on ground - Some of the land is closer to the island than the other. You want to lay the bridge pieces from land farthest from the island and one to the right from the division between the close/far pieces of land (sorry if this is worded wrong). --------------- | Island | | | -------------- X -------------- X | X |_X___________ The positioning is important so that when you hit a switch and lower the lava, the last piece of the bridge will settle on land and can be picked up and used to cross another bit of lava.; Another room has a long, narrow passageway with lots of monsters. When you defeat all of them you will get a Speedy Ring. Go back down the corridor and around and you will find a hidden passageway to the chest above where you got the speedy ring. The chest contains a Miracle.; Kill the lake catfish and get the Catfish Jewel. Sundletan - You find that Tia was looking for you and went to the Lake Cave. Lake Cave - You find Tia surrounded by monsters near the Arrow Puzzle. Rescue her. Foomy Woods - This is located after you go through a shrine to Alunze (I forget the name of the shrine). It is left around the mountains. Look for a single tree by itself. It shouldn't be too hard to spot. You will get your first capsule monster. The capsule monster is of neutral alignment and will be a help in battle. Alunze Castle - Berty and Bart (two loser thieves) steal the king's crown which was on display. You need to head down to the dungeon of the castle and get back the crown. Alunze Castle Dungeon - Note for later: when you get the grapple come back to this dungeon to grapple to a post with a chest next to it. The chest contains the Water Jewel. You will find the bomb in a blue chest. The dungeon will have a lot of walls with cracks in them. You blow holes in the walls to get to other rooms. 1st Light Puzzle - move the bottom orange left 2, up 2 and three blocks should disappear. Next, move the top red left by 4. Move the red between 2 orange up 3. Move the rightmost orange left, then down between 2 orange. 2nd Light Puzzle - Move the bottom red 3 left. Move the bottom left blue left by 1 and up 2. Move the bottom right blue left by 4 and up 2. Move the bottom blue up by 1 ... should complete 5. Position the rest of the red with: R RR RR After you arrange it like that you can push the middle red down to complete a line of 5.; (Dungeon B4) Light Knife, Secret Fruit.(Dungeon B5) Get the Crown. Alunze Castle - Return the crown and get 3000 gold. Alunze Kingdom - You find out Able went treasure hunting. You need to go to the Alunze NW Cave. Alunze NW Cave - Some general hints ... use monsters as dead weight for buttons. Also look for hidden triggers). B2 - Horse Rock, High Potion, Power Brace. B4 - Miracle, Shrine Key. Bomb the regenerating bushes. B3 - Jet Helm, Witch Ring, Miracle. Cut vines on the walls. *Tanbel - You meet Guy and his sister, Hilda. After you meet them, heal up, stock up, and save before you talk to Guy again. When you talk to Guy again (he will be in the courtyard in the north west part of town) monsters will attack. The monsters are fairly easy and give 200 exp and 500 G. After the fight you find out Hilda has been kidnapped. TANBEL SOUTH EAST TOWER - [1F]When you enter the tower take the left door first. [1F]The first puzzle you encounter has 3 moveable tiles, 4 dark spots, and a crest in the center. Step on the crest in the center and 3 moveable blocks will appear. Put the blocks on the lower 3 buttons. Get the vase from the bottom of the room. Go to the door, turn around using the "R" button, and face down. Then put the vase on the button to open the door. [4F] Button in the center of a blue carpet. Blocks surround it when you approach. To unset the blocks you need to walk back to the north door until the blocks disappear. Walk around the border near the button and approach it from the bottom. You need to go to the button through the gap in the border. [4F] Room with 4 vases and a pillar. Move the vases out of the way. Move the pillar to the trigger plate on the left side of the room. Crests will appear. Put the 4 vases around the pillar on the crests. The door will appear. [4F] Lower part of a room with a pile of bones on the floor, a skeleton, and what appears to be a blocked passageway in the bottom of the room. Use a bomb on the bones. Then step on the button that appears. [3F] "Musical notes should..." There are 3 pillars with a note at the base of each. When you step on the note you hear what weapon you need to use on the pillar. The top turns blue if you do it right. From the bottom pillar the order is sword, arrow, and bomb. ---- Get Sky Key. [5F] "It is 6:15 right now..." Move the block to the far right crest and the pillar to the top crest. {6F} *Camu* - Use lightning attacks and magic. Try to prevent companions of Camu from using their heal magic. 3300 Exp & 5750 G Tanbel - Guy officially joins the party. TANBEL SOUTH EAST TOWER - [6F] Go back to where you fought Camu. Get the Fire Dagger, Camu Armor, and Pearl Brace. Clamento - You find out a rich man wants a ruby apple from the Ruby Cave. RUBY CAVE - [B1] Bomb a hole in the wall. [B2] "Turn all the switches..." The order is: upper left, lower right, lower left, upper right. [B1] Another crack in the wall, bomb it. [B1] Teleport. The fire capsule monster joins the party. [B1] Chop down bushes to find a hidden switch. [B1] Next room. Chop down bushes to find a switch. [B2] 2 sets of stairs next to each other. Each stairway has a border around it. Take the right one first. Try to find and hit with an arrow a switch to the lower left. After you hit the switch, go back and take the left stairway. Kill the skeleton and cut down vines blocking a door. Get the Ruby key. - Go back and take the right stairway again. - Go left from the bottom and use two ice to get the Flame Fruit. - Use all of the ice on the main land to reach two ice cubes in the bottom part of the room. You will have to place the ice just right so your last piece of ice will reach the bottom 2 islands at once. You will need to drop your first piece of ice from the LOWEST right part of the main land. After you reach the 2 islands with the 2 pieces of ice, use them to make your way to the chests. You will find the Fury Helmet and Aqua Whip. - Use one ice to reach a small island with stairs. Go down the stairs. There is a save room behind some vines. The ruby is nearby. When you touch the Ruby Apple, the Tarantula will attack. - *Tarantula* - Make sure the fire capsule monster is part of your party. The Tarantula is vulnerable to fire weapons and magic. 4600 Exp & 5910 Gold Clamento - Take the Ruby Apple to the rich man. Shrine to Parcelyte - Parcelyte - Talk to the king of Parcelyte. Selan is going to join your party and stay for a while. Around Parcelyte is a good place to level up. Walk around the town. Fight the Red Core monsters with fire. They run away often but they give 2,200 Exp each! You might want to run away from other monsters other than the Red Core since the other monsters are a waste of time experience wise. TREASURE SWORD SHRINE - [1F] You enter. There are 3 doors. Take the left one first. - First puzzle. There is a button and you see a vase to the right in what appears to be another room. Find the secret passage, get the vase, and put it on the button. Spikes will lower. Bomb the crack in the wall. In the next room fall through the crack in the floor. You will find a Round Shield nearby. - Go back to the 3 doors. Take the right one this time. - Room filled with moving platforms. Start by getting on the closest platform. Ride the other platforms until you end up at the stairs again. Then go down to the next platform you can get on from the edge. Get all the chests. You should find: Cold Rapier, Undead Ring, Anger Brace, Treasure Sword Key. - Head back to the 3 doors. Take the center one this time. [2F] Bat Rock [2F] "Wooden crates can be..." Put a bomb in front of the left crate, then the right crate. Quickly make your way to the bridge and keep pressing up. As each bomb goes off you should be able to make it across. [3F] First Light Puzzle - obvious. - 2nd Light Puzzle - "Move one yellow and..." Move bottom red (Left 1, Up 1 -> turns 1 yellow) Move bottom yellow (Left 1, Up 1 -> opens door) - 3rd Light Puzzle - "Move two yellow and..." Move center red up one. Move left yellow (Down 1, Right 2 -> converts 2) Move 2nd yellow from the top (Up 2, Left 3 -> door opens) [4F?] *Clowns* - The left (blue) clown hates cold and the right (red) clown hates fire. Both clowns will reappear after you beat them. Remember to refill your magic and Hp at the save point you saw earlier between battles. After you defeat the second clown, your party realizes it has to attack both clowns at once. Equip cold type weapons on Maxim and Tia. Put fire weapons on Guy and Selan. The left clown gives 300 exp and 1000 Gold the first time and 2300 exp and 4000 Gold the final time. The right clown gives 300 exp and 1000 Gold the first time and 2300 exp and 4000 Gold the final time. - Treasure Sword Parcelyte - Return sword to the king. You find out Gordovan was destroyed. Get the Holy Wings from the basement before you leave. SHRINE TO GORDOVAN - Gordovan - You find the town in ruins. The bad guy has fled to the Gordovan West Tower. GORDOVAN WEST TOWER - [3F] Room with 2 buttons, a vase, and a path leading to 2 doors. Put the vase on the button that is on the same side as the door you want to go through. You must then follow the darkened path to that door. You must not walk off the path. [4F] Hook Skill !! Room above the Hook skill. Before you hook to the pillar, you must push the pillar all the way to the right. [5F] Room with a door leading to the elevator and another door blocked by spikes. Also in room is a crate on a button, that when removed, lowers some spikes. Use the bomb on the crate to get around this situation. [ELEVATOR] [4F] Miracle [3F] Room left of elevator with 2 pillars and a button. Push the upper right pillar 2 steps to the left. Grapple to that pillar from the left side. Push the lower pillar down 1. Push the upper right pillar out of the way. Walk around to the left side and grapple to the lower pillar. Push that pillar onto the button. - "Cut them in order..." (with #1 on the far left): 1, 5, 6, 2, 7, 3, 4 Wind Key [2F] Agility Potion [1F] Bomb a wall, get the Eagle Rock. [2F] Muscle Ring [6F] *Gades* - You WILL be defeated by Gades. Don't resist ;-) Iris will bring your party back to life. Make sure you get the Scimitar and Block Shield before you go. Parcelyte - !! BEFORE YOU GO BACK TO THE KING, UNEQUIP GUY SINCE HE WILL LEAVE THE PARTY FOR A WHILE. ***You have the hook. You need to visit places that you couldn't get*** ***to before. CAVE TO SUNDLETAN - [B2] Grapple across water to get a dragon egg. ALUNZE CASTLE DUNGEON - [B1?] Grapple to get the Water Jewel. Merix - The cave bridge is out. You need to go to the cave to the north. CAVE BRIDGE - [B2] Bomb wall - a switch is in the room above. It raises the stake near the river bank. [B3] HiMagic [B3] Room that has verticle side bars on door. Tia falls through a hole in the floor. The rest of the party follows. [B5] Room filled with monsters and an orb. Destroy the orb. [B1] The bridge gets fixed. Bound Kingdom - Idura attacks when you enter the kingdom. Dekar Saves the day. The prince thinks he is hot stuff and runs off to the northen dungeon. You go to help... Holy type attacks should work well in the Northen Dungeon so you might want to buy the Gladius sword at the shop in town. NORTHEN DUNGEON - *[B1] Three doors to choose from. Take the right one first. [B1] Chop down some bushes in the top part of a room. You can see a chest in a isolated area above. Walk left from chopped bushes into a secret passage. The chest has a Thunder Ring. [B2] Room filled with spikes on either side of a chasm. Position yourself on the right side in the little bit of land that juts up. Shoot the trigger to toggle the spikes. *[B1] Now take the center door. [B2] Cross spikes you lowered earlier. You will find the Deadly Sword. DON'T EQUIP IT, IT IS CURSED. Equip it later when you are near a priest. He can then lift the curse to turn the sword into a powerful weapon you can use. *[B1] Take right door again. [B2] Lower the spikes, cross a bridge. Bomb a wall. Thunder Axe. *[B1] Left door. [B1] "There is a pattern..." To quickly trap the stairs, try to walk onto the stairs from the left side (move from left to right). The stairs should move downward. Keep doing this until the stairs are trapped. [B2] Room with a pillar, vase, and button. Push the pillar to the right. Next, grapple to the pillar, put the vase on the button, then push the pillar out of the way. [B3] Light capsule monster will join the party. [B3] Room with 4 pillars and a chest you can't get to in the upper right part of the room. Push the 4 pillars onto a purple area of the floor. You will get the dragon egg. [B3] You should have already delt with some moving platforms, but now you will want to move them around in a specific order...starting from the lower left hand door. Think of a telephone pad with the numbers arranged in the same way: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 move the platforms at a position to a new position: 1) 7 to 8 4) 2 to 3 2) 6 to 9 5) 5 to 2 3) 8 to 5 6) 2 to 1 [B3] "Light up all..." Think of a telephone pad again. Bomb (one at a time) in this order: 1, 5, 2, then 6. [B4] You find the prince and his squire in a room alone. You will be attacked by 4 mummies. Use fire and holy weapons and magic. It might also be good to use the fire capsule monster. The mummies give 400 Exp, and 2000 Gold. You are next attacked by a troll. Use the save tactics. It gives 300 Exp, and 2000 Gold. Bound Kingdom - The females will leave your party and Guy and Dekar will join after you talk to the king. You might want to unequip the ladies before they leave. ANCIENT TOWER - [1F] "Pushing this pillar..." Push the pillar to the center of the red carpet, then push up until you can't go any further. Next, push the pillar to the left until a door is revealed. [1F] Room with 4 pillars with a crest on the floor between the pillars. You need to trap the pumpkin monster on the crest. Move the bottom pillar one to the left or right. The pumpkin monster moves in the opposite direction that you do. Try to use this knowledge to trap the pumpkin guy. Once the pumpkin monster is on the crest, push the pillar to trap the monster in there. [1F] Room with spikes surrounding a stairway. Put the pillar on the right side of the spikes. From the left side, move one step away from the spikes so that they lower. Then, grapple to the pillar. [2F] Blow hole in wall above a switch. [2F] 3 crests on the floor. Use a bomb on the center crest. [3F] Fayza Shield [3F] Pumpkin Jewel, Protect Ring, Muscle Ring. [4F] Cloud Key. Nearby, bomb a wall and get a Miracle. [4F] 4 blocks and 4 trigger plates. Push all the blocks into the center. Activate the switch that appears. (Hit it from the right side) [3F] 4 pillars horizontally across the room. Push the right 3 up onto the buttons and push the left one down onto its button. [5F] Hit the blue statue 5 times with your sword and hit the red one 3 times then walk over the crest between the two statues. [6F] Monster Races - good luck! [7F] *Gades* (10,000 Exp 20,000 Gold) [7F] After you defeat Gades, he will device in motion that will sink Parcelyte. You have to defuse the device. There are 3 stairs. Take the right stair - bomb the red statue. Take the top stair - Arrow the blue statue. Take the left stair - There are 3 crests surrounding the stairs as you walk down. Whichever crests are highlighted around the stairs, need to be copied in the room below in order for the door to open. Parcelyte - You get married to Selan. Tia is never again part of the party. A year goes by, you and Selan have a child named Jeros. The child gets stolen so you and Selan have to go to the North Lighthouse to get him back. NORTH LIGHTHOUSE - [1F] "The door the arrow..." move the blocks into the shape of an arrow that points in the direction of the door you want opened. [1F] "If you place a box on..." There are 4 buttons, 3 boxes and a door that sort of appears when you step on the buttons. Place boxes on the upper two buttons. Now put a box right in front of the door to prevent the wall from closing again. Take a box off one of the two buttons and place it on the button that lowers the spikes. Next, take the other box and place it on the crest. The door should be free now. [2F] You can reach these because of the previous puzzle. Dragon Egg, Mystery Ring, Big Shield. [2F] A matching type puzzle. [3F] Step on a button to raise some pillars. [2F] Come back and take the bottom door. [3F] Don't cross the chasm until you get the Fire Ring. [3F] (Past chasm) Bomb a wall. [4F] "Place it on black..." Try to keep track of the dark crests. When you step on the button the crests will move around. The two dark crests are on the same horizontal line. The first one is the upper leftmost, and the second one is the second from the top on the right side. You should get the light key after you solve this. [1F] Use the Light Key. [5F] Room with a pillar covering a crack in the floor. Push the pillar one to the left, then bomb the crack. Next, push the pillar down the hole. You drop through the hole next. You should get the Bee Rock. [5F] A room with 4 movable blocks and some fixed blocks. Push 3 of the blocks inward. Move the last block out of the way and step on the button yourself to make the stairs appear. [6F] *Idura* (5100 Exp, 1250 Gold) Unequip thunder weapons. He is protected against thunder attacks. Use Ice magic and weapons. Parcelyte - You leave Jeros with an aunt. SHRINE TO ALEYN - Guy and Dekar rejoin the part. Aleyn - All the ships have been sunk. PHANTOM TREE MOUNTAIN - [-] Door with 3 regenerating bushes. Use a bomb to clear all three at once. [-] "When all grass grows..." bomb the wall with a crack first. Follow that path to its conclusion to get the Tree Key then come back. [-] Room filled with vines. There is a hidden door. [-] Large room that has 2 platforms with bushes, movable blocks, buttons, etc... Use the fire arrow skill to get rid of bushes on the two platforms so you can move the blocks and get to the buttons. Do the right platform first, then the left platform. After you are done with the platforms, go the left side of the room. You will see an area with lots of cracks on the floor. You can only walk on a crack once, then you will fall through. From the mouth of the area take this path and you should make it ok: Up1, R1, Up1, R5 then pick up the vase. Up2, L2, D1, L4, D1, Up4, R1, Up1 then drop the vase you are holding on the right side. In the same position, pick up the vase to your left. Move up 1 and drop the vase on the button. Move right one, pick up the other vase beneath you and drop it on the button above you. Then carefully make your way to the door. [-] Bomb wall. [-] Room with a chasm, a button, a stake, and a lowered stake. Wait until the monster walk onto the button so you can grapple across. [-] On top of a hill there is a blocked mine entrance. Bomb it open. [-] "Floor is very..." Lure a monster onto the etched out area to get the part of the floor to collapse. [-] *Lion* (10,000 Exp, 16,000 Gold) Use ice weapons and magics. Aleyn - Stay at the in 2 or 3 times while Jyad builds the ship. Gruberik - You hear talk of the Ancient Cave. ANCIENT CAVE - This can be put off to anytime you want. It is VERY time consuming and there are NO SAVE POINTS. The goal at the end of the gave is to inflict as much damage as possible in 3 rounds onto an ancient slime. When you enter the cave you won't have any weapons, skills, or magics. Inside the cave there are NO save points so if you die... it isn't the end of the world, but you have to start the cave over. Anything you find in blue chest you get to keep after you leave the cave. Everything else is left behind. The same goes for magic. There are 99 levels. Each floor you go to is sort of random, there are about 5 to 6 different levels you can land on when you go down the stairs. Make sure you take the time to fight monsters. You need to raise levels in order to do well later on. A party with Dekar is probably the best when you decide to solve the Ancient cave. Since the spells and items you find are totally random, it is possible for you to breeze past some levels and struggle on others. On the 99th level you fight the master of all slimes. You goal: to take off as many hit points in 3 rounds as possible. Defense is unimportant since you won't be attacked and the slime will boost HP and MP between rounds. The slime has a total of 12,000 hit points. You will want to have a capsule monster that can do serious damage against the slime. Because you only care about damage, equip the fighters with armor based on how much it boosts attack and strength, nothing else (not even agility matters). For the magic users give them armor and weapons based on boost to intelligence. Attack and defense power is worthless for straight magic users. Having built up a high IP before hitting level 99 is a good idea. Especially if you have items that take off 1/4 remaining HP or more. I think a party with Dekar is best. My party with Lexus wasn't that great. How useful a character really is, is largely based on the spells and items you find. Capsule monsters - I found that the angel was useful in the first levels for the healing, I had enough items to feed it to level 4. I went with the earth monster for the last half. I also had just enough to get it to level 4 also. I used him against the slime. He is a tad too shy to be of much use. You might want to hang on to armor that boosts attack and strength for fighters and items that boost intelligence for magic users because in the end against the slime defense won't matter, only attack. And be VERY careful not to feed a capsule monster anything you find in a blue chest. They help an incredible amount when you exit the cave. So, you beat the slime and he gives you the key to the Ancient cave. You then return to the main floor of the cave, go behind the counter and use the key to get at the chests. Cutting away vines was worthless. Cutting away bushes sometimes revealed a Hp or Mp re-filler. You will keep the Iris items even though they won't come in a blue box. I have no idea what they are used for. You should have move than enough items to feed to the capsule monsters to raise 2 of them to max. And lastly, it never hurts to build up levels. Narcysus - A flute plays when you arrive. All women leave. TOWER OF SACRIFICE - [2F] 2 rooms are linked to this puzzle. The first has 2 pillars, one on each side of a chasm. It also has a switch to raise the pillars. Raise the pillars then cross. Go through door. The next room has 2 columns, 2 repellers, a door at the bottom blocked by 3 pillars, and a crack in the wall. Bomb the crack. Don't go through the hole yet. Step on the 2 buttons to lower the 3 pillars. Go back out the door into the first room. Cross the chasm. Go through the bomb hole you made earlier and to the south door. [3F] Bomb a wall. [1F] Narcysus Key. Bomb 3 pillars above where you find the key. [3F] Ice Ring. [3F] Room with 2 statues, 2 repellers, 2 blocks, and a button surrounded by spikes. Push the closest block to the left. Hit the switch to lower spikes. Go step on the button. Go get the other block, push it to the right towards the center of the room, then push it up. You should be able to reach the door now. [4F] Capsule monster hard hat. [4F] "reverse the panels..." Step on the panels in this order: X 3 X 4 X X 6 X X 5 2 X 1 X X [??] *Idura* (10100 Exp, 10,250 Gold) Unequip thunder weapons. He is protected against thunder attacks. Use Ice magic and weapons. Karloon - KARLOON NORTH SHRINE Important note: Dekar will leave your party a short while after you defeat Idura. You will want to unequip him of everything before he leaves. [1F] Near entrance there is some debris on the floor. Blow it up to reveal a trigger plate. Push the pillar onto the trigger to open door. [2F] Dekar Blade [--] Teleport pad appears to lead to a dead end with a dark flame monster. Blow up the walls in 2 places. [--] *Idura* (10,000 Exp, 10,000 Gold) Unequip thunder weapons. He is protected against thunder attacks. Use Ice magic and weapons. [--] 2 pillars, huge pit. Put a pillar on each trigger plate on each side of the pit. [B1] Fury Ring. In the same room blow up 3 columns. *[1F] UNEQUIP DEKAR!! He will be leaving your party permanently. Shrine to Treadool - Treadool - Talk to a man in town who tells you about a ship and Lexus. Shia Laboratory - Talk to Lexus, he will offer to put his new engine in your ship. Alyen - Jyad will build you a ship. Talk to Jyad. Treadool - A flower girl faints. You need to go to Flower Mountain in order to help her out. FLOWER MOUNTAIN - [-] Blow up blocked shaft to enter. [-] Hammer Skill [-] Hammer some rocks blocking your path. *[-] Room with 3 doors (including the one you came through). Go through the left door first. [-] Black moat with a pillar in the center on a small island and 2 stakes on either side. Push the pillar up with your hammer then grapple to the stake on the far side. [-] Cut away vines that hide a door. [-] Room filled with spikes that raise as you walk by. There is a crack in the top wall that you need to open up with your hammer. Find a bald spot so you can use your hammer to open the crack. To open the crack you will need to use the path connected to the bottom door. After you open the crack, exit and go around to the path connected to the upper door. Go through the crack and get a Life Potion and a Snake Rock. [-] Burn Sword - Fall down a crack in the floor near an HP refiller. [-] Flower Key *[-] Now go the the right door over the moat. [-] Room filled with spikes and teleport pads. Spikes rise up and stay up as you walk on them, blocking the path. You need to be able to step on all 3 teleport pads to lower some spikes on the lower right side of the room. Dragon Egg, Power Ring, Flying Axe [-] Earth Capsule Monster [-] Use Key [-] *Flower* (12,000 Exp, 20,000 Gold) Use fire magic and weapons. Treadool - Give the flower to the flower girl. Talk to Lexus at the port. Lexus will join the party. ForeFeit Island - You can wait until you have a VIP Pass or try your luck at gambling now. This is a great place to raise levels for Capsule monsters. See the ForeFeit Island topic near the top for additional info. Dankirk - The Ruby Icon will be stolen when you try to leave the castle. Clamento - Go the the glass maker, Jaffy, and ask him to make a fake Ruby Icon. Dankirk - Give fake Ruby Icon to the prince. DANKIRK NORTH CAVE - [B1] Cut away bushes to find a button. Put the vase on the button. [B2] There is and eye on the wall. When you walk in front of it the door closes. Push the pillar in front of the eye to get by. *[B1] There are 2 doors at the top of this room, a long blue carpet, a switch that raises pillars and a door in the lower right of the room. NOTE: I may have the right and left mixed up on upper two doors here. *[B1] Take the upper left door first. Hit the blue switch. *[B1] Take the upper right door next. Step on button. *[B1] Lower the pillar near the blue carpet. Walk off the edge from the arrow. Grapple from the island to the lower part of the room. [B2] Bomb some bones on the floor. Cut away some vines. Blow up a huge crack in the wall 3 times. Earth Fruit, HiMagic *[B1] Upper left door again. [B3] Hit 3 switches across a pit to close it. Bomb wall. [B3] Room with 2 catwalks above you and some pillars that prevent you from leaving once you enter. Cut down vines. Shoot 2 eyes on the wall with arrows. Some pillars in the top of the room should drop. Cut down some more vines and shoot one more eye. A blue/red trigger will drop from the ceiling. Hit it. [B4] Room with a blue chest, 2 candles, a teleport pad, and a black moat. From there, teleport to a similar room. Push the block on to a button on the right or left side. Teleport back to the room with the chest. Step on the floor in the same spot where you put the block on the button in the other room. A piece of bridge should appear. Go back to the other room and push the block to the other side of the room. Repeat what you did before. You should get the Dankirk key. Now go back and push the block to its original starting position. Two bridges should appear and let you get to the switch. [B3] Room with an assasin, birdman, and 3 chests in an isolated area in the bottom of the room. There is a hidden passage down from a bush sitting by itself. In the three chests are the Flame Jewel, Figgoru, and Dragon Egg. To open the door to go on, step on a floor switch to the right of the door. [B4] Room with a bunch of bridges and assassins around. Lift a grating in the floor and fall through the hole. Hit a switch to activate a bridge. Climb stairs, grapple, go down some stairs, go past save point, cross bridge, hit the same switch you hit earlier to raise one bridge, but lower another. Arrow puzzle, arrange tiles into the shape of an arrow pointing down. [--] You find James and the Ruby Icon. You are attacked by 4 wimpy guards (1000 Exp, 4000 Gold). Dankirk - Return the Ruby Icon. Aurielo - Talk to the prince twice and the assistant once. The flood gates will be opened and you will get the VIP pass to Forfeit Island. Ferim Find - Hans and talk to him. This is a VERY annoying door. You have to bomb the door repeatedly and quick enough for it to open. In order to do this you have to do it in a pattern.
